Subject: Our lovely Syrian family have arrived

An update from SWR co-chair Nina:

"Our lovely Syrian family have arrived In Eynsford. They are busy getting settled in - they are very keen to integrate into village life, to get to know their neighbours and be part of our welcoming community. Their support worker is busy helping them to do all necessary to get set up, but understandably there is a lot to do and much for them to get their heads around. For this reason, we are giving them plenty of space and ask that anybody wishing to meet them, wait until they are ready - contact will initially need to go through their support worker.
The family are extremely grateful for all of the work SWR and others have done to make their home welcoming and homely and asked me to pass on their thanks to you all. Do watch this space - we will post on here and by e-mail any support or donations requested by the family. Thank you again - it is wonderful to finally welcome our Syrian friends."

Please do come along to our meeting next Thursday, June 29 at 7:30 PM - 9 PM. It's at the Vine Evangelical Church  Vineevangelical Church Hitchen Hatch Lane, Sevenoaks, TN13 3AT.
