"THY KINGDOM COME" resources and events in Sevenoaks Deanery

Here are some of the events lined up in Sevenoaks Deanery between Ascension Day and Pentecost (May 10-20) as part of the "Thy Kingdom Come" prayer initiative.

Kippington Church has produced a prayer card which you can use to pray for five friends or members of your family. There will also be prayer stations in Kippington Church between May 10 and 20.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
St Peter and St Paul's Church, Seal, are holding a prayer workshop on May 13 in church, led by Revd Anne Le Bas, exploring various ways of praying. Come along for some peaceful contemplation. This is suitable for complete beginners and long-term pray-ers!
There will also be a series of reflections on Seal Church's blog https://sealpeterandpaul.blogspot.co.uk/ on the theme of "The Fruit of the Spirit" between May 10 and May 20.

St Lawrence, Stone Street, Seal have a long term plan to mark the event. They are doing a series of talks in their family services, on the first Sunday of each month, breaking down the Lords Prayer and looking at each section over a period of 5 months.

THY KINGDOM COME in St. George’s Parish, Weald.

We will be having a service to get everyone ready for TKC this Sunday, 8am and 10.30.  At the 10.30 we will be using some of the resources on the website.
We will be concentrating on the ‘praying for five’ and encouraging the whole church family to take this up and particularly the youth confirmation class with the leather wrist bands.
We’re also be encouraging the whole community to come to morning and evening prayer 8.30 and 5pm in the Celtic Style.  If they haven’t done this before (as this has been established since Harvest 2016) we will be inviting them to taster sessions from Ascension to Pentecost and in that way ‘taste and see that the Lord is good.’
During the period of TKC we will also do some prayer walking around the parish and bless our community.
