2nd For God’s blessing on Bishop Simon as he is installed as Bishop of Tonbridge today and for God’s wisdom in all his responsibilities;
Please pray for all Harvest Festival services this month;
9th For those  taking part in  Ride and Stride, for fun and safety;
For all returning to school, especially those starting at new places of education, and for all students and teachers.

St. Mary, Kippington
1st  For the marriage of Charles and Laura today and for God’s blessing especially on all who choose to marry in church;
9th For the marriage of Edward and Emily;  for David, Martin and Carolyn taking part in Ride and Stride;
10th We pray for the family of baby, Christoph, and for Jude, at school at New Beacon, as they are baptised, for their growth in faith in Christ.
11th-14th For the Diocesan clergy conference, for new vision and encouragement for all, including Bishop James and visiting African Bishops.
16th For Matt and Louise, and for David officiating at their wedding today
17th For a good turn-out at the annual service celebrating our partnerships with dioceses overseas:  for the Swahili choir!  This takes place at St. John’s, Meopham, led by Bishop James, as Bishops Jacob and Given (Tanzania) and Chad (Harare) take part.
22nd For Oliver and Harriet, as they marry and for David as he leads the service.
23rd Give thanks for the birth of Eli Bowman, to be baptised today, praying for him and all who will celebrate this occasion.
29th  Please pray for Lisa Cornell, a former member of our church family, to be ordained today in Rochester Cathedral, as she begins a curacy in Yalding, remembering too her daughters, Lizzie and Sophie.
30th For Georgette and Geoffrey, visiting today, as they testify to the power of forgiveness following the tribal massacres in the 1990s in their homelands of Burundi and Rwanda ..



Seal, St. Peter and St. Paul
Please pray for our new “Talking Village” initiative, designed to bring people in the village together and combat loneliness.
For the residents and staff of Lavender Fields care home as they settle into the village.
For Nicky Harvey, to be ordained priest in Rochester Cathedral on Sat Sept 29 at 10.30

St. Luke, Sevenoaks
Please pray:
For the ongoing discussions between the three churches, St. Luke’s, St. Mary, Riverhead and St. Mary, Kippington, on the way forward for these parishes;
For our Associate Vicar, Ann, and the PCC during this ongoing suspension of the interregnum and give thanks for retired clergy, Dennis and Elizabeth, for their help during this time;
Also for students as they return to school or college this month;
For families and young people to be encouraged in their faith.

 

St. Nicholas, Sevenoaks

Please pray:
For our regular Bible study and home groups as they restart following the summer break;
8th For Dad and Co. (For Dads and their under-7 year olds)
13th A Care for the Family video on marriage and friendship being shown today
16th Sunday evening ‘After 8’ with Sevenoaks Gospel Trust
23rd Evangelistic Sunday services today with visiting guest speaker, Anthony Bewes;
30th The ordination of our curate, |Matt Taylor, at 11.00 am by Bishop Rod Thomas.

St. George, Weald.

2nd For our 10K run and 2K fun run, beginning with a service on the Green.   All profits divided between various charities.   We give thanks for safety and a great spirit in previous years and please pray for the same this year.
For ‘Teddy’s’ for mothers and toddlers as they start up again on Friday mornings.
For the development of our links with St. Francis, Strood.
